I am 5'10 and a leftyWhat type of clubs do you think a beginner should get?
Too many factors to consider in determining which clubs to purchase.
5'10 and lefty is like saying I am Blond and Good looking....neither of which is true.
Male or Female?
Athletic or non-Athletic?
Physical Challenges?
Most Golfers suffer mental challenges so I will not ask that question.
Slim, Average or ';full-figured';?
You can usually find a Golf Professional near you who will take the time to help you and often will have access to a Club Builder who will make a few clubs to fit your physical characteristics. Learn with a few clubs and upgrade from there.
Golf is the ';Game of a Lifetime'; as Mr. Crenshaw said, so take the time to enjoy the challenges and the many successes you will experience with golf...both on and off the Golf Course. What type of clubs do you think a beginner should get?
Price makes no difference, it's all about what feels comfortable to you. I have played with friends who use generic/knock-off brands and played great. When I started out as a beginner I had yet to know what I needed or liked so I went to a local sporting goods store like Big5 and purchase a ';beginner'; set that has all the things you need including bag %26amp; putter. Pros lend their name to clubs like John Daley or Jack Nicholas who both have quality sets to offer.
They have good complete sets in Sports Authority, Sport Chatet, and Dicks Sporting Goods.
