I got an Academy electric guitar a couple of days ago with an amp that came with the guitar. I want to try playing ';Scotty Doesn't Know'; by Lustra. Do I have to tune my guitar in a certain way? Look up the tab for the song, and it will say what tuning its in. If you don't know how to tune it you should search for the tuning on google.
You won't be able to get the guitar to sound the same as it is in the song, but try changing the settings on your amp and make sure your guitar is tuned properly and it should sound good.Tips for a beginner electric guitar player?
As Lucien said, tune your instrument and the amplifier in accord to get the sound right. There is no question for different amplifier. It has come with the instrument implies it suits the instrument.
