How difficult is it to learn drums and what is a good drum set for a beginner that isn't too expensive?

drums isn't hard to learn if you have your basic coordination intact, meaning having the foot pedal (controlled by the foot off course)hit the bass drum at the same time when your hands are playing(it's not as hard as it looks) but the big one is learning to play in time. Some get it right soon enough for other it takes longer to learn, give it try it comes naturally to some people.

As far as expense is concern, I'm not sure you'll have to research the brands but as a beginner you'll need to start with the basic setup(which means it'll be cheaper for ya) and that is one snare drum, a floor tom tom, two small tom toms (1 is slightly bigger than the other in diameter), I hi-hat(cymbals), 1 crash cymbal and one ride cymbal and you're set. If you're not sure what I'm talking about the bloke who are buying the drums from will know. You can get fancy with the eloborate kit later when you get good enough. How difficult is it to learn drums and what is a good drum set for a beginner that isn't too expensive?
The most importaint thing with drums is a a feel for the ';groove'; ie, the feel and the beat of whatever you are playing and playing with. The best thing to do is as soon as you've got a feel for how you set the drums up (where everything is and how it works) learn a basic drum beat (such as: eight notes on the high hat, Bass drum on 1 and 3, and snare on 2 and 4 (if you don't understand that now, you will soon and most musicians would be able to explain it to you)) and then find someone else with an instrument and jam!

With a little coordination and some practice, you sould be up and running in no time

As for drum sets, Musician's friend has been advertising begining sets as low as $350 US recently, you might check out their website. How difficult is it to learn drums and what is a good drum set for a beginner that isn't too expensive?
the others have answered the first question but a CB starter kit sounds really good for 拢300
its not hard first u gotta learn music theory which is easy then learn rudiments which is really easy and as u learn rudiments learn the drum set i guarantee once u do learn that (readin and all )u will play ne other percussion instrument cuz its the same (drum wise)
