I want to learn driving, I will buy a car in one day, but not the professional one, I use car for transport purpose, not for entertainment. i also want to save money, because I am a student, any suggestion?Auto and manuel driving, which one is better for a beginner?
For learning to drive, I think you will find it easier to learn on an automatic. Here is why:
Most learner drivers (and I have taught several), have problems with getting the gear shifting right. At the same time they are coming to grips with the other aspects of driving. Remove the gear shift thing from the equation in the beginning (by using an automatic).
When you are proficient at driving, changing lanes, and everything else, then tackle the gear shift thing. The very last person I taught to drive really benefited from this. It made my job teaching just so much easier as well.
I agree that a manual license (unrestricted car lic) is better than the Auto Only endorsement, but if you are having gear shift problems, any license is better than none.Auto and manuel driving, which one is better for a beginner?
If you're in the UK, which I believe, it's definitely better to train and take your test in a manual car if you can manage it. Then your licence will cover you for both manual and automatic. If you take your test in an automatic, your licence will only cover you for an automatic, not manual.
Manuals are much more fun to drive. My brother's first car was a manual, and he never knew how to drive one before he bought it. But he learned, and now manuals are all that he gets. I also know how to drive a manual, and I love driving them. I think you'll like manuals too after you learn how to use them.
Autos are obviously going to be easier at first. Manuels get better gas mileage tend to last longer and tend to be cheaper especially if buying used...
I own a manuel and LOVE it!! wouldn't drive a auto if could choose on my next car
It's best to learn on an automatic, so that you don't have to deal with gear shifting on top of everything else you have to learn. Once you become proficient at steering, stopping, starting, changing lanes, parking, etc, then you can learn how to drive a manual transmission.
If you are in a country that has a different class of license for manual transmission, you can practice until you are good with the automatic, then practice on a manual transmission car until you are good enough to take the manual test.
go for a manual.
heaps of people i now got an auto licence first, thinking they'd upgrade to manual later - but of course they never did!
get a manual license - it's really not that hard once you get the hang of it.
just getting an auto license is a cop out.
if u want to save money....manual....better gas mileage.
You don't say where you come from, but,if you're from the UK,you'd be better off learning with a manual, because if you pass your driving test in an automatic then your licence will only cover you to drive automatics, and you would have to sit a second test to drive a manual, whereas if you pass in a manual,it covers you to drive both types of vehicle.
Automatic.
