What makeup brands do you recommend for a beginner?

I haven't used makeup before, but since I am going to be a senior, I would like to start learning. What (affordable) brands/products would you recommend for a beginner in eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, etc.? I don't want to do anything fancy/noticeable yet, just a little application before school.

If it helps, I'm Asian and do have small eyes/no eye folds...hahaWhat makeup brands do you recommend for a beginner?
Revlon- i love their lip products and their eyeshadows are really good!

Maybelline- They have the best mascara! Great Lip Plumpers and pigmented(good color pay off) eyeshadow!

Loreal- eyeliner, eyeshadow, foundation, concealer,

Claires-their makeup is really girly and easy.. bright eyeshadows, bright lipglosses... Really good stuff for girls who love bright colors

MAC- this brand is around 10-30 dollars. its kinda expensive but really worth it! A HUGE VARIETY OF eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, blush, lipgloss. they have everything!!!!!

NYX- bright, fun, simple, awesome! i love their eyeshadow pallettes and lip gloss... they have really good eye liner pencils too! especially the Jumbo Pencils!

So all of these brands(except MAC) are under 10 dollars and really really good quality, really good color pay off, lasts for a long time, i love it!

hope this helps! :)What makeup brands do you recommend for a beginner?
You have monolids...cool.

Start with drugstore brands like Loreal and brands like that.

Then once you think your better at makeup, you can go on to Sephora.
these are my suggestions for cheap ish drugmart brands

mascara=covergirl

eyeliner=revlon

lip gloss=covergirl

when in doubt just buy covergirl, lthough not always the best, they are reasonably good.
