I want to start yoga so I can loose weight and that will benefit my health, I am a beginner with yoga.?

I need to loose weight alot of it. lol but I also have a bad back due to my weight. my doctor told me that yoga will help with that, but I have never done it and I want to make sure that I wont hurt myself while doing it. what is the best way to do this successfully?I want to start yoga so I can loose weight and that will benefit my health, I am a beginner with yoga.?
The best yoga to lose weight is a form of Power Yoga by Diamond Dallas Page called YRG. It is yoga based but they added in other exercise movements to get you in your fat burning zone. They sell DVD's or have online videos at www.GreatDrills.com What I like about it is that they have a starter level that eases you into the positions but still gives you the benefits of the program. I do it from home without any other equipment. Good Luck!I want to start yoga so I can loose weight and that will benefit my health, I am a beginner with yoga.?
Congrats for wanting to take a step towards a healthier lifestyle! Yoga is a wonderful way to get fit both physically and mentally! I recommend you do Power Yoga as it burns a lot of calories while toning your muscles. Rodney Yee has some really great DVDs you can do in the privacy of your own home. Try going to Amazon.com and looking at some DVDs and read the reviews. Good luck!
1. The best benefit of doing yoga is to prevent all kind of dieases, so it can be sure that it wont hurt yourself if you do with the correct way.

2. If you like ,there is a free yoga video for the beginner: http://yg.fortune998.com.cn/
I do yoga, and it has done WONDERS for my joint problems. I started out with getting a dvd from the store. They usually have variations in the routines so that you can adjust the program to your comfort zone and abilities. Just remember the the whole ';No pain, no gain'; thing is a myth - if it hurts, don't do it. Some muscle soreness is normal as you get used to using muscles that more often that you didn't before, but PAIN is bad. Just find a video that you find interesting, and start slow. It's a gradual process, and yoga makes you feel wonderful and relaxed afterwards. Many videos even tell you ';if you have back problems, do this excercise THIS way instead....';. You will get better as you go. The video I highly recommend is called ';Yoga conditioning for weight loss'; done with Suzanne Deason. I wish you the best of luck, and have fun with it!

Why don't you get him some golf clubs? He won't know the difference between a banjo and golf clubs, just like you apparently don't know the difference either. This is the golf section.Whats the best banjo to get as a beginner?
    I'd go with Callaway
Go to your nearest golf shop and ask for a ping banjo

For a beginner, how long after I start body building will I notice results?

I started lifting 10 pound weights and I saw muscles forming in a week. It all depends on how your body is made. For a beginner, how long after I start body building will I notice results?
That depends on your body and how intense your workouts are. Either way you should see minor changes within a few weeks. Don't rush things. It doesn't happen over night.

Easiest of the Scott Joplin rags for a beginner-intermediate pianist?

I've been playing for about 8 years, but my teacher was very laid back so it's a very loose 8 years. I have a book of Scott Joplin rags, and I'd love to learn to play one of them, but just flipping thru and sight-reading a few, I couldn't really tell which ones seemed easier.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe as to which piece they found easier? Easiest of the Scott Joplin rags for a beginner-intermediate pianist?
To me, The Entertainer has always been the easiest of Joplin's rags, whether it be on piano, banjo or guitar.

What are good guitars to buy for a beginner? READ DETAILS!?

I want to learn to play the guitar, but don't know what kind of guitar to buy. Well, I know I'm just going to buy a regular guitar, (not electric) but I don't know like what brand to buy. What are good guitars to buy for a beginner? READ DETAILS!?
you can usually go down to musos corner kind of shops and buy cheap liittle acoustics...their called legends...worst brand you can get but good for biginnersWhat are good guitars to buy for a beginner? READ DETAILS!?
I advise all my beginner students to try the Yamaha acoustic....they have very nice ones at the guitar center.....you have to be the one to pick it out.....you have to test the sound....and the action ( make sure that the strings aren't too high off the fingerboard )....to make sure that it's what you like, all guitars sound different....even the same brand.....you could have five Yamaha's and they all would sound different . If you can't play get someone to go with you to play the sound for you , and then you try the action.....if you don't know anyone then get the clerk to demonstrate it for you, good luck to you !!!
The Yamaha suggestion will take a lot of the guess work out of it for you. My sis had one and it was just fine and thirty years later it's still around and playable.

One suggestion for when you go to pick out a guitar.

Go with someone who can play and let them play it and you listen to it. This way you can concentrate on the sound of the instrument and not be all bashful about your playing. (Playing in shops bothers even the best sometimes). You play it too to see what the action feels like and make sure it's agreeable but this way you have another opinion to bank on.
Almost every pawn shop seems to have a ton of guitars, I would check the pawn shops in your area.
You should check Ibanez or Yamaha for nylon string guitar. Much easier to play and less danger of breaking your nails.

They cost around $90 and surprisingly, they play very well.
well,if u r a beginner, you are absolutely right. You wnat whats called an acoustic guitar, and the best starter brand i can think of is first act.I got my first one for $60,and the highest i spent for a good acoustic guitar is $800.(I own 3 first act acoustics,2 fender electrics and a B.C Rich Electric.I also have 2 bass guitars)
